Whipped Feta Crostini with Hot Honey Drizzle
Are you on the lookout for the perfect appetizer to serve at your next gathering?
Look no further than Whipped Feta Crostini with Hot Honey Drizzle!
This delicious appetizer combines the creamy richness of whipped feta with the sweet and spicy kick of hot honey, creating a bite-sized treat that will have your guests raving.

What makes this appetizer so appealing is its balance of flavors and textures.
The creamy whipped feta is lightened up with the use of reduced-fat feta cheese and fat-free sour cream, which ensures that your guests can indulge without feeling weighed down.
The hot honey, with its combination of sweetness and spice, adds an unexpected twist that keeps everyone coming back for more.
Another great thing about this appetizer is it can be made ahead of time. Prepare the hot honey drizzle, let it cool, then store it in an airtight container. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
You can also prepare the whipped feta by running the ingredients through a food processor and then refrigerating it in an airtight container until you’re ready to use it.
The Ingredients
French Baguette: I used a food scale to ensure each baguette slice was .5 ounces. It’s still a good size slice of bread but it helps to limit the points.
Reduced-Fat Feta Cheese: Using reduced-fat feta instead of regular feta cheese helps to save points without sacrificing the flavor. Nobody will notice a difference.
Fat-Free Sour Cream: This is another great way to lighten up the recipe. I used 5 tablespoons which was only 1 point.
Lemon Juice: This is an important ingredient for the whipped feta. I highly recommend using fresh lemon juice.
Garlic: One garlic clove is added to the whipped feta to give it a delicious garlicky flavor.
Oregano and Black Pepper: These are the seasonings I used for the whipped feta. I didn’t add salt because the feta cheese is salty enough.
Honey: This is the base of the hot honey drizzle. You will only use about 1 1/2 tablespoons of hot honey drizzle. The rest can be stored in the pantry in an airtight container.
Apple Cider Vinegar: This adds a bit of acidity and flavor to the hot honey drizzle.
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes: This brings the heat to the hot honey drizzle.

How to Make Whipped Feta Crostini with Hot Honey Drizzle
Use a food scale to slice the baguette into .5 ounce slices.
Lay the baguette slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spritz them with olive oil spray, then bake them at 400 degrees F for 9-11 minutes.
Add the honey, apple cider vinegar, and crushed red pepper flakes to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then remove from heat and let cool.
To a food processor, add the reduced-fat feta cheese, fat-free sour cream, lemon juice, garlic clove, oregano, and black pepper. Run the food processor until the mixture becomes smooth.
Spread the whipped feta onto each baguette then drizzle a small amount of hot honey over each piece.
Optional: Top each piece with fresh herbs such as basil or parsley.
Serving Suggestions
Present the crostini on a rustic wooden board with a small bowl of extra hot honey for guests to drizzle at their discretion.
Accompany the dish with a selection of raw vegetables like cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and bell pepper strips for a refreshing contrast.
Offer alongside a platter of cured meats, such as prosciutto or salami, to create a more substantial appetizer spread.
