Ingredients
24(.5 oz.) slicesof a French baguette
Olive oil spray
For the whipped feta:
5oz.reduced-fat feta cheese
5tablespoonsfat-free sour cream
1teaspoonfresh lemon juice
1clovegarlic
Pinch of oregano
Pinch of black pepper
For the hot honey drizzle:
1/2cuphoney
1/2teaspoonapple cider vinegar
1/4teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay the bread slices on the baking sheet and spritz with olive oil. Bake 9-11 minutes, or until the bread is toasted.
Add the reduced-fat feta cheese, fat-free sour cream, lemon juice, garlic clove, oregano, and black pepper to a food processor. Run the food processor until the mixture is smooth with no lumps.
Add the honey, apple cider vinegar, and crushed red pepper flakes to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then remove from heat and let it cool.
Spread each piece of bread with whipped feta, followed by a drizzle of the hot honey.
Notes
** You will not use all of the hot honey drizzle. The rest can be stored in an airtight container in the pantry. (You will use approximately 1 1/2 tablespoons of the hot honey drizzle which is how I calculated the Weight Watchers points.)
