Shrimp on the Barbie

If you like Outback’s Shrimp on the Barbie you’re going to want to try this recipe!

Not only is this shrimp delicious but it’s also zero points.

I cheated a little and didn’t use an actual barbeque. I didn’t want to take the time to add all of the shrimp to skewers.

Instead, I used a grill pan and it worked great!

The Ingredients

Shrimp: I love using shrimp since it’s 0 points. I bought 1 lb. of raw shrimp with the tails on.

It’s a great source of protein but also low in calories.

Seasonings: I used a combination of Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt.

I also used cooking oil spray.

How to make Shrimp on the Barbie

Before preparing the shrimp I preheated the grill pan over medium/low heat.

In a small bowl mix together the Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt.

Add the shrimp to a medium mixing bowl. Give it a little spray of zero point oil then add the seasoning mix.

You can use a pair of tongs to make sure the shrimp is evenly covered in the seasoning.

Spray the grill pan with cooking spray then add the shrimp. Make sure the shrimp are in a single layer and each touching the pan.

Cook the shrimp 2-3 minutes on each side.

Serving Suggestions

Since the shrimp recipe is zero points the possibilities are endless.

If you want it to be a zero point meal you can serve the shrimp with your favorite zero point vegetables.

Green beans, broccoli, and corn are all great options.

If you don’t mind adding some points a baked potato is a perfect side.

You can also serve the shrimp with a low point salad or add the shrimp to a salad.
