Ranch Baked Potato Chips (Air Fryer or Oven Baked)
I love potato chips. There’s something about those salty, crunchy little guys that just goes perfectly with a sandwich. I love that with Weight Watchers I can still eat what I love!

I also love that I found a way to lighten up potato chips while not missing any of the flavor.

Baking or air frying the potatoes instead of frying them saves a ton of points. I used Hidden Valley Ranch mix to season them and it was out of this world!!
Unfortunately for me my daughter tried the chips and loved them.
Usually, I’m really excited when my kids like what I make, but not this time.
She ate ALL of MY chips!! It’s ok though, I just made another batch.
What You Need:
Potato: I used a russet potato for this recipe. They make great potato chips!
Ranch Seasoning: You need 1 teaspoon of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix.
Cooking Spray: Any zero point cooking spray will work.
I used this Mandoline to slice up the potatoes. It’s easy to use and it’s great because the potatoes all come out the same size. That helps them cook evenly.
The actual size of your potato slices could change the baking time. It’s best to keep an eye on them.
Since potatoes are 0 points with the current plan this tasty snack is 0 points!

Ranch Baked Potato Chips

Ingredients
- 3 oz. peeled potato (approximately 1/2 of a medium potato)
- 1 teaspoon Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Use a mandolin to slice up the potato. Lay potato slices on a baking pan.
- Spray the potato slices with no stick cooking spray, then sprinkle 1/2 of the ranch mix onto them. Flip over the potatoes and repeat on the other side.
For the oven:
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip over the potatoes. Continue baking 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and place potatoes on a cooling rack until cool.
For the air fryer:
- Add the potato slices to the air fryer basket in a single layer. (I had to do two batches.)
- Air fry at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

I made a small batch of these today, following the baking instructions exactly, and they came out still kinda chewy. I used the thinnest blade on my mandoline, which made them only 3 mm thick. Gonna try it again soon, lowering the temp and increasing the time, to see if that works.
Any idea of air fryer temp and time?
I would do 350 for up to 9 minutes.
It depends on how thick the potato chip is.
