Quick and Cheesy Kielbasa Skillet

turkey kielbasa

clove
garlic, minced

low sodium chicken broth

cup
long grain white rice

chopped broccoli (frozen)

cup
reduced-fat Mexican cheese, shredded
1/4
teaspoon
onion powder
1/8
teaspoon
black pepper
Instructions
Slice the turkey kielbasa into bite-size pieces.
Heat a
nonstick skillet
over medium heat. Add the turkey kielbasa and cook for 5 minutes or until it's slightly browned on both sides.
Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in the rice and chicken broth. Bring it to a boil, cover, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the broccoli according to the directions on the package.
Once the 20 minutes is up stir in the cheese and broccoli.
