Easy Beef Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 96% lean ground beef
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 14.5 oz. petite diced tomatoes (with liquid)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup macaroni noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess fat then add the onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Stir in the diced bell peppers and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Stir in the macaroni noodles making sure they are covered by the liquid.
  • Bring the goulash to a boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let it cool slightly then serve.
