Chicken Parmesan Casserole
If you like chicken Parmesan, you’re going to love this! Italian food is my favorite, and this one is a keeper!
Chicken Parmesan has always been one of my favorite Italian meals. It was pretty easy to come up with a light version and turn it into a casserole.

That’s what gave me the idea to make a Chicken Parmesan Casserole.
It has all of the great flavors of Chicken Parmesan, but in a casserole.
The Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breast
- Tomato sauce
- Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Italian breadcrumbs
- Tomato sauce
- Dried minced onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper
This recipe is perfect for using up leftover chicken or a rotisserie chicken.

I baked it in a casserole dish like this one. You could also bake it in an 8×8 baking pan or even a pie dish.
How to Make Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spray your casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Add the tomato sauce and seasonings to a saucepan. Let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir the shredded chicken breast into the tomato sauce, then pour it into the casserole dish.
Add the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, then top with breadcrumbs.
Bake 25 minutes or until it is heated through and the cheese is melted.
Serving Suggestions
This casserole tastes great on its own, or you can serve it over a side of pasta.
A low point side salad is also a great option. Mixed greens, cucumber, and tomato topped with a low point salad dressing tastes great with this casserole.

Do you put in the chicken uncooked or cooked?
You use cooked chicken. I updated the recipe so it’s more specific. Sorry about that.
Your recipe doesn’t include pasta in the ingredients, but shows it in the picture, nor does it account for it in the points. Seems misleading if you’re representing points.
I’m not trying to be misleading at all. If you read the post it clearly states I added pasta for 3 points plus the 3 points for the casserole. Six points for a dinner is pretty low if you ask me. It’s a really good recipe! 🙂
Oh my yummy goodness this is so delicious!!!! I am very picky and I have fallen in love with this! Looking forward to trying more of your recipes!!!
I’m so happy you liked it!! It’s one of my favorites. 😋
This was very good. I added the noodles for the extra 3 points and it is worth it. Great job on this one
I am so excited to try this! Do you remember how many points your sauce was in this recipe? I want to make sure I grab one that’s around the same for point accuracy!
Thanks!!!
Hello!
I wanted to see if there was a point count for WW PersonalPoints? This looks delicious!

Hi! I updated the recipe to include Personal Points.
Could you use a rotisserie chicken for the sake of time?
