Buffalo Chicken Dip (High Protein)

This Buffalo Chicken Dip is lightened up and full of protein!

Instead of using cream cheese, I used cottage cheese that I put in the blender to make it creamy and smooth.

Between the cottage cheese and chicken breast each serving has 17 grams of protein! The entire dish has 69 grams of protein.

The Ingredients

Cottage Cheese: I used 2% cottage cheese. I didn’t want to use fat free cottage cheese because I wanted to make sure the dip was still creamy.

Chicken Breast: I used boneless skinless chicken breast which is 0 points. You can use canned chicken, leftover chicken, or rotisserie chicken.

Buffalo Sauce: Depending on the heat level you prefer, you can use mild or medium buffalo sauce. It adds a ton of flavor and it’s 0 points.

Cheddar Cheese: Using reduced fat cheddar cheese helped to save points.

Seasonings: I used garlic powder and onion powder to add flavor to the dip.

Green Onions: This is optional but I like to use it to top the dip. It adds a little bit of color and flavor.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip

Place the cottage cheese in a blender and puree until smooth.

Pour it into a mixing bowl. Add the buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese, chicken breast, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Stir until everything is mixed together.

Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and pour the dip into the baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through.

Let the dip cool slightly and top with the green onions.

Serving Suggestions

You can keep this a low point snack by serving it with 0 point vegetables. Celery sticks, carrots, cucumber, and bell peppers are all great options.

Another option is to cut up a tortilla and air fry it to make low point tortilla chips.

Pita bread and crackers are good with the dip as well.
