Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

This is another delicious $10 meal!

Let’s face it, anything wrapped in bacon is going to be delicious. This recipe is no exception.

The Ingredients

I bought chicken tenders for this recipe since they’re the perfect size to wrap a slice of bacon around.

The package I bought had 6 chicken tenders and cost $5.52.

That was the perfect amount because I was making dinner for myself and my two daughters. We each had two chicken tenders wrapped in bacon.

I bought one pound of bacon for $4.99. It was the Kroger brand hardwood smoked bacon. It was really good.

Since I only used 6 slices of bacon I had a lot left over for breakfast or making BLT’s.

My total was $10.51.

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

One thing I love about this recipe is it’s really easy to make.

Add the seasonings to a small bowl. I used garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix together.

I removed the tendon from the chicken tenders, but that’s optional.

Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat and place the chicken tenders on it.

Season the chicken tenders on both sides then wrap one slice of bacon around each piece.

I didn’t use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place. Instead, I tucked both ends of the bacon under the chicken to keep it in place.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.

Serving Suggestions

Bacon wrapped chicken tenders go with just about everything.

I kept my side low in points by serving it with green beans. Any zero point vegetable will go well with this dish.

A baked potato, mashed potatoes, or even baked French fries will also make a great side.

You could also make a low point side salad to brighten up the dish.

My last suggestion is to serve it with rice or cauliflower rice.
