Pizza Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 93% lean ground beef
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Rao's pizza sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 14 turkey pepperoni
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned. Drain any grease, then add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  • Stir in the pizza sauce and red pepper flakes.
  • Spread the mixture in the baking dish. Top with parmesan, dollops of ricotta, and mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer on the turkey pepperoni.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
