Open-Faced Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 5 oz. Boar's Head roast beef
  • 2 mini bagels
  • 1/4 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Slice the green pepper and onion into long, thin pieces.
  • Spray no-stick cooking spray into a frying pan and cook the green pepper and onion until somewhat tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Cut roast beef into thin pieces. Add to the frying pan and sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper. Cook on low until the roast beef is warm.
  • Lightly toast the two mini bagels.
  • Place the mini bagels on a baking sheet.
  • Divide the roast beef into four and add to the bagels.
  • Next, add the green pepper and onion.
  • Finish off with the cheese and place under the broiler until the cheese is melted
