Chocolate Crepes

I love crepes! I have multiple recipes for crepes on my website and now I can add chocolate crepes to the list.

There is so much you can do with them. Plus they’re great for dessert or breakfast!

I love these chocolate crepes with whipped cream and strawberries. It’s delicious!

Chocolate crepes offer a wonderful balance of rich cocoa taste while remaining low in points.

How to Make Chocolate Crepes

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender.

Blend until the batter is smooth then let it rest for 30 minutes.

Preheat an 8″ skillet on medium-low heat for 5 minutes.

Spray the pan with nonstick cooking spray and add 1/4 cup of the batter.

Quickly turn the pan in all directions so the batter covers the entire pan.

Let the crepe cook for about one minute. Use a rubber spatula to lift up the edge of the crepe and check if the bottom is cooked.

Flip over the crepe and let it cook another 20 seconds, or until done.

Repeat the steps with the remaining batter.

Serving Suggestions

I like serving my chocolate crepes with fresh strawberries. Fresh strawberries are a fantastic option that pairs beautifully with the rich, chocolatey taste of the crepes.

Simply slice the strawberries and arrange them on the crepe before folding or rolling it up. The sweetness and slight tartness of the strawberries offer a refreshing contrast to the deep cocoa flavor.

Zero sugar whipped cream also pairs well with the chocolate crepes and strawberries.

For a little crunch, you might consider sprinkling some crushed nuts, like almonds or walnuts, over the whipped cream. This not only adds texture but also introduces a subtle nutty flavor that pairs well with chocolate.

For a more decadent experience, consider drizzling a small amount of sugar free chocolate syrup.

You can also experiment with different fruit combinations. Bananas, raspberries, and blueberries are all excellent choices that work well with the chocolate flavor of the crepes.
