Chicken Parmesan Casserole

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups boneless, skinless, cooked chicken breasts, chopped or shredded
  • 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 teaspoons Italian style breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Add tomato sauce, minced onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to a medium saucepan. Let simmer 15 minutes.
  • Spray your casserole dish with no stick cooking spray.
  • Stir the chicken into the tomato sauce, then pour it into the casserole dish. Add the parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, then breadcrumbs.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until it is heated through and the cheese is melted.
