Chicken Caesar Sandwiches (Ten Dollar Meal)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup Ken's lite creamy caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (you can use water if you don't have chicken broth) (If using the Instant Pot, use 3/4 cup of chicken broth)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

For the slow cooker:

  • Place the chicken in the slow cooker. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add 1/2 cup chicken broth and 1/2 cup Caesar dressing. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • When the cooking time is up, use two forks to shred the chicken.
  • To assemble the sandwich place 1/4 of the chicken mixture on each hamburger bun.

For the Instant Pot:

  • Place the chicken in the Instant Pot. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add 3/4 cup of chicken broth and 1/2 cup of Caesar dressing to the pot.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot and lock it. Make sure the lever is set to seal. Press the manual button and set the time for 10 minutes.
  • When the time is up let the pressure manually release for 10 minutes, then release the pressure and remove the lid.
  • Use two forks to shred the chicken. Add 1/4 of the chicken mixture to each hamburger bun.
